Machol Manhattan Israeli folk dancing sessions meet every Thursday evening. Machol Manhattan founders Rina Rinkewich and Ilan Birnbaum are your markidim (teachers / session leaders). Beginning November 13th we have moved locations. Please contact us for time and location as times may vary slightly from week to week.
When we can access the dance space early enough, we teach Beginners in the early portion of the evening. Even on weeks when we don’t teach Beginners dances, we still dance Beginner and Advanced Beginner dances at the start of the session, mixing in intermediate and advanced dances as the evening progresses. The first partner set is at 9pm and we dance a mix of circles, partners, and line dances thereafter.
Israeli folk dancing is fun, challenging, social, great exercise... there are so many reasons to give it a try!
