Machol Manhattan Israeli folk dancing sessions meet every Thursday at Hungarian House, 213 E 82 St in Manhattan. Machol Manhattan founders Rina Rinkewich and Ilan Birnbaum are your markidim (teachers / session leaders).
For the time being, beginners teaching in the early part of the evening is suspended because we are starting our session later due to other programming at Hungarian House on Thursday afternoons. We still dance beginner dances beginning at 8pm, mixing in intermediate and advanced dances as the evening progresses. The first partner set is at 9pm and we dance a mix of circles, partners, and line dances until midnight.
Israeli folk dancing is fun, challenging, social, great exercise... there are so many reasons to give it a try!
